Bangkok Day 2: Siam Paragon with Friends

After a long day out the day before, we decided to take it easy on Day 2.  Our friend Lilian & her 2 charming boys Brian & Sean brought us shopping at Siam Paragon! The kids were right at home in the airconditioned comforts the large shopping mall and soon were right at home with each other.

They clowned around with the most famous Clown Fish ever, Nemo….

Audrey & Anthony got a part-time sitter in Aunty Lilian. They parked themselves at the Kinokuniya bookshop whilst we got to take a quick spin around the shops. Look at how quickly they settled down - peace & quiet in the middle of bustling Bangkok!   IMG01740-20101127-1257

We walked around to the Gourmet Market in the basement and got ourselves some pre-lunch appetizers - yummy BBQ chicken satays, fishballs & spring rolls - then headed for lunch at the foodcourt (oops, no pictures because we were too busy eating) !

The highlight for the kids was dessert at iberry – a local homemade sorbet/ice-cream chain.  They offer a very extensive selection of flavours, ranging from the usual fruity ones, like Apple/Lemon/Raspberry, to exotic Asian ones, such as pomelo, mangosteen and even one that had chili in it! A must-try!!

Many of the flavours are in stunningly bright colours – Audrey & Anthony chose their BLUEberry & mint… when they were done, they looked like they were celebrating Halloween… here’s Ant with his blue teeth!

iberry was a welcome rest-stop, right down to its funky decor – look at their Tea Cup Chandelier!
